The location is perfect for visiting Mount Rushmore. The game room is a nice touch, kids loved it. Parking is tight and limited. Staff were friendly and breakfast had great options. It could use some updates.

Our king room was comfy and clean, with a nice balcony view. The breakfast options were limited and the ice machine wasn’t clean. The indoor games room was a fun bonus for us.

The hotel is ideally positioned just a couple miles from Mt Rushmore, making it super convenient for day trips to this iconic landmark and also places like Custer State Park and Badlands National Park, which are just a short drive away; plus, I loved how so many restaurants and fun activities, like zip lining and mini golf, are within easy walking distance or just minutes away by car, providing lots of options for dining and entertainment after a day of exploration. The breakfasts were delicious and offered a great start to the day while the staff was wonderfully accommodating, ensuring my stay was comfortable. One area for improvement could be the bathroom size, which felt a bit cramped, but overall, the experience was fantastic!

pleasant staff, pleasant atmosphere with helpful management who promptly addressed a maintenance issue and an impressive breakfast that stood out among hotels I’ve visited.
Everything was as perfect as can be.

I loved the campy, quaint vibe that made our trip feel like a true getaway! The spacious rooms were super comfortable, and the staff treated us like family. Plus, we were just a hop away from all the fun attractions!
Totally recommend! ❤️🏨

Spacious, clean, and well-staffed. The friendly atmosphere was inviting, especially with Brandon from maintenance. A dead car battery was quickly rectified by his swift assistance—outstanding service. The ambience offered a relaxing escape, complemented by a decent complimentary breakfast. Rooms, while large and pet-friendly, need attention; dated decor and dim lighting detract from comfort. The steep parking ramp poses a challenge, particularly in rainy weather. Bathroom fixtures require improvement, and the king-size mattress needs replacement—humps should belong in the Badlands, not your bed. While the hospitality shines bright, maintenance fell flat. With a little care, this place could truly reflect its potential. Worth a visit, but there’s room for improvement.

We stayed in a gorgeous superior king suite. The separate bedroom featured an extremely comfortable king bed, ensuring restful nights. The bathroom had a nice combo shower/spa tub, perfect for relaxing after a day out. Our room was spacious, with great views. the fan light was quite noisy, which was a minor distraction. The pull-out couch was a bit rickety but fine for kids. Parking was limited, especially for larger vehicles. Despite some quirks, the room was clean, quiet, and conveniently located near many attractions. A lovely stay overall.

I had such a disappointing experience—the air conditioning in our room was a disaster. The louvers wouldn’t stay in place, and after the maintenance staff's “fix” with toothpicks failed, we were left sweltering and had to rely on a flimsy fan.

the location is great and the staff is friendly.
the furniture in the room was super outdated and the bed was uncomfortable. my room was right next to the vending machines and it was hard to rest with all the noise.

Very well-maintained and clean, with incredibly pleasant staff. The beds were comfortable, but I had a noisy experience—thin walls and a pounding on the door at night really disrupted my sleep. Breakfast was a highlight, served on real dishes with plenty of choices. The location is perfect for exploring nearby landmarks. the AC unit needed some serious maintenance, which was a letdown. Despite some quirks, it felt like a home base for adventures, though I'd suggest rooms away from noisy areas for a better night’s sleep.

During our weekend getaway, we were welcomed by a friendly and efficient staff who made check-in a breeze. The spacious superior king suite featured a comfortable king bed and a luxurious combo shower/spa tub. The complimentary breakfast was top-notch, setting us up for a day exploring the attractions nearby. Conveniently located near both downtown and the main sightseeing spots, we were able to easily access everything we wanted to visit.

The game room is a hit with kids and the fresh fruit at breakfast is a nice surprise. The location is spot on for exploring nearby attractions.
The room could use a facelift and some more outlets.

Staff are super friendly and always ready to help. Breakfast is homemade and real, not that powder stuff.
It was a bit pricey, but worth it.

Hiking Black Elk Peak provided breathtaking views while the kids enjoyed picnicking by a serene mountain stream.
My wife says that the bathroom could use more hooks for hanging towels and clothes.

The heating worked well, keeping us cozy during the chilly nights. the air conditioning was a letdown. The louvers in our room were broken, and despite attempts by maintenance to fix them with toothpicks and a pedestal fan, it wasn't ideal. We enjoyed the small pool for the kids and the fact that the kids had their own loft area, which was a fun touch. The location was great, with easy access to shops and restaurants. The breakfast selection was good, and the staff were friendly and helpful, providing recommendations for nearby attractions. On the downside, the room felt dated and old. The bed in our room was uncomfortable, with a noticeable hump in the middle that made sleeping a challenge. The bathroom and bedroom lighting fixtures were dim and falling out of the ceiling. the parking lot was narrow and challenging to navigate, especially for larger vehicles.

Overall, the place was in a great spot - just a hop and skip away from Mount Rushmore, which was super handy. The front desk staff was really nice and accommodating. Plus, the breakfast spread was a pleasant surprise with a variety of options, not just the usual boring stuff you find at other places.
On the downside, some parts felt a bit outdated and worn out. The lighting in the rooms was pretty dim, and the bed I had seemed like it had seen better days - it was lumpy and uncomfortable.

The quaint hotel near Mount Rushmore was lovely. The Gazebo provided stunning views. The autumn weather was perfect for hiking. I felt like a fancy lady from the past in the hotel's Victorian-style setting.
The slow bathroom drain was such a thrill.

My friends and I had a blast hiking to the top of Black Elk Peak and then chilling by a cool mountain stream. The hotel staff were awesome, and the hot breakfast fueled our adventures! Plus, the balcony views were lit!
For a better time, we'd love a hip game room with a jukebox or karaoke for those late-night after-party vibes! .

I had longed to visit Mount Rushmore, and I chose Roosevelt Inn Mount Rushmore solely for its location. However, the small, family-oriented staff pleasantly surprised me with their willingness to help ensure I made the most of my trip. The Expanded Continental Breakfast at Roosevelt Inn, including hot items and fresh baked goods, served on real plates with real flatware, was a delightful start to my days.
